Melbourne Fringe 2016

Low-Fi Bedroom Rock is an immersive experience of sound and movement. Performed in three acts and curated by Adnan Laala, musicians from Niko Niko, Adnan and the Whale and Write in Binary come together with dancers Amelia McQueen and Cobie Orger, to combine music and dance in a three-act performance featuring ambient synthesizer loops, drone and zero input mixing.

The sound evolves from New York style minimalism that includes repetitive driving rhythms, interlocking guitar riffs with the addition of explosive drum solos and dance that will fill the space with energy and movement. This work is inspired by the likes of Rhys Chatham, Neu and the Boredoms. It pays homage to experimentation, improvisation, space and movement.
